Al Mansour Automotive Co., the automotive arm of the esteemed Mansour Group, a conglomerate controlled by the Egyptian billionaire Mansour family has announced ambitious expansion plans to revolutionize the nation’s automobile industry.

At the heart of this initiative lies the launch of a new MG car model slated for release in the first quarter of 2025. With $20 million in direct foreign investment bolstering this endeavor, Al Mansour Automotive Co. aims to carve out a significant presence in the market, underlining its unwavering commitment to Egypt’s automotive sector.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of a pivotal meeting convened at the New Administrative Capital’s government headquarters. Attended by key officials, including ministers and industry leaders, the gathering underscored the pivotal role of Al Mansour Automotive Co. in propelling the national automobile industry strategy forward.

Mansour Automotive sets growth vision

Mansour Automotive CEO Ankush Arora lays out growth plans, including launching the new MG model and creating 5,000 jobs by domestically assembling new products.

Two projects—a sedan and a high-roof microbus—are set for production by late 2025 with a $15-million investment.

Al-Mansour Automotive, part of Mansour Group, ranks among the world’s top General Motors dealerships, selling around 80,000 vehicles yearly. Its lineup includes Chevrolet, Opel, Peugeot, MG, and Isuzu brands.

Established by Loutfy Mansour in 1952, Mansour Group has grown into a multinational giant, spanning 100+ countries. It’s a major force in Egypt’s auto industry, offering quality vehicles at competitive rates. Under Mohamed, Yasseen, and Youssef Mansour’s leadership, the group’s revenue surpassed $7.5 billion in 2018. Their combined net worth now stands at $5.7 billion.
