South African executive Ivan Dittrich earns $5.2-million salary from Datatec in 2023

South African executive Ivan Dittrich, the CFO of Datatec, a South African-based multinational technology group, received a total compensation package of $5.15 million from the tech group in 2023.

His 2023 compensation package comprises a base salary of $0.53 million and a performance-based short-term incentive of $0.38 million thanks to the group’s performance during the fiscal year — under the strategic financial leadership of Ivan Dittrich, the tech group recorded a comprehensive income of $70.6 million at the end of its 2023 fiscal year

He also received a long-term incentive award of $4.1 million from the multinational technology group to acknowledge his unwavering dedication to the group and his wealth of expertise as a seasoned business leader and a top professional. 

Ivan Dittrich’s two-decade of financial excellence and industry expertise

Dittrich, celebrated for his leadership and impactful contributions to Datatec, has played a pivotal role in guiding the daily execution of strategies, overseeing critical facets such as finance, risk, and control within the group. His journey spanning over two decades, marked by significant milestones, reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence and expertise across multiple companies.

Before assuming the role of CFO at Datatec, Dittrich served as CFO of Vodacom from 2012 to 2015. His adept navigation of the complexities inherent in the South African telecommunications industry solidified his reputation as a distinguished finance expert in the sector.

From CFO to stakeholder: Ivan Dittrich’s multi-faceted impact on Datatec

In 2016, he returned to Datatec Ltd. as group CFO, where his astute financial experience and leadership prowess continue to propel the company toward unprecedented growth and success. His financial acumen and business expertise have firmly established him as a rare gem with extensive experience in the dynamic South African business landscape.

Under his watch and rich leadership as the group finance director, he has led Datatec to impressive financial milestones— with the group’s comprehensive income soaring to $70.62 million at the end of its 2023 fiscal year. 

Besides his executive and governance roles, Dittrich presently owns a 0.43-percent stake in Datatec, equivalent to 969,224 ordinary shares in the South African tech company — his stake is presently valued at R34.2 million ($1.83 million).
