Caroline Rupert is the only daughter of South Africa’s richest man, Johann Rupert. The 40-year-old has been deploying her trust fund to good use. In 2018, the University of Cape Town-grad set up Kathaka Advisers Limited, a London-based single family office, to manage her personal investments and philanthropic interests.

Kathaka operates as an intensely private entity, with most of its investments shielded from the public eye. Kathaka has only four employees. But in the five years since Caroline Rupert founded the firm, the firm has engaged in noteworthy investments within the realm of African and global tech startups.

Zeotap is an AI-based customer data platform. It provides a customer intelligence platform that allows businesses to integrate the data into the CRM. Founded in 2014, Zeotap’s mission is to help brands monetise customer data in a privacy-first Europe.

Lick, a London-based online home decor startup offers a curated range of sustainable paints, wallpapers, blinds, and supplies, sold through an omnichannel distribution.

Papier

Papier is a British online e-commerce brand that sells customizable wedding invitations and stationery including, on-demand customized notebooks, and notecards.

Revea

Revea is a custom, precision skincare brand. The company uses proprietary skin imaging, smart AI formulations, and digital skin tracking tools to deliver clinical-grade diagnostics and bio-customised treatments that learn and adjust with clients’ skin over time.
