Acclaimed African-American comedian and entrepreneur Kevin Hart’s ultra-premium tequila brand, Gran Coramino Tequila, has disbursed over $1 million in grant funding to more than 100 Black and Latinx small business owners.

The funds were distributed through the Coramino Fund, a partnership with the U.S. impact organization Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). This milestone follows Gran Coramino’s strong sales performance, reaching millions of bottles sold within two years of launch under Hart and tequila maker Juan Domingo Beckmann’s leadership.

Hart’s tequila aids minority businesses

Founded in 2022 with a mission to celebrate life’s achievements, Gran Coramino donates $1 per bottle sold to support underrepresented entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Mexico. Since its inception, the Coramino Fund has awarded $10,000 grants to over 100 entrepreneurs across various industries, fueling their small business growth.

“As an entrepreneur myself, I’ve seen how early financial support can impact the long-term success of the business,” said Kevin Hart, co-founder of Gran Coramino Tequila, commenting on the donation and sales milestone. “The Coramino Fund was created to provide support to some of the hardest working people out there — entrepreneurs and small business owners.”

Kevin Hart’s tequila brand backs social impact

Developed in collaboration with Global Brand Equities and Proximo Spirits, Gran Coramino Tequila blends Hart’s passion for tequila with Beckmann’s multigenerational expertise in spirits crafting. The brand donates $1 per bottle to support underrepresented entrepreneurs in both the U.S. and Mexico.

Now in its second year, the Coramino Fund exemplifies the commitment to social impact shared by Hart and Beckmann. Official statements indicate the fund received over 35,000 applications from diverse sectors like retail, transportation, food services, and education.

The latest funding round saw 50 businesses receive grants, with 52 percent Black-owned, 36 percent Latinx-owned, 12 percent Black and Latinx co-owned, and 66 percent women-owned.
