Sean “Diddy” Combs, America’s latest Black billionaire, is expanding his empire with the rebranding of his parent company, Combs Enterprises, to Combs Global. The new portfolio remix represents a global expansion of Combs’ music, entertainment, fashion, spirits, and media/television companies.

The rebranding of Combs Enterprises to Combs Global includes a new logo, website, social media channels, and brand communications. The name was recently introduced to millions of Super Bowl viewers in Combs’ Uber One commercial, in which he reminded people that “Diddy don’t do jingles… Diddy does hits.”

Combs Global, founded in 2013, initially included Bad Boy Entertainment, Cîroc Vodka, DeLeon Tequila, AQUAhydrate, REVOLT MEDIA, Sean John, Capital Preparatory Charter Schools, and The Sean Combs Foundation. Since then, the company has expanded to include entities such as Empower Global, Our Fair Share, and Love Records.

Combs, who has been a dominant force in the business world for nearly 30 years, stated that Combs Global represents a larger vision to create the world’s largest portfolio of leading Black-owned brands.

The expansion includes Combs’ acquisition of The Nile List, a $2-million investment in creator platform REC Philly, and the historic $185-million acquisition of key markets and assets from leading cannabis company, CRESCO Labs.

Despite his enormous success as a musician, Combs derives the majority of his wealth from his partnership with Diageo to create Cîroc Vodka, a move that saw him take the helm of Ciroc in 2007, guiding the brand from obscurity to multibillion-dollar status.

The African-American businessman became a billionaire a day after Kanye West, now officially known as “Ye,” lost his billionaire status due to the termination of his lucrative deal with Adidas. Since 2019, Combs’ net worth has risen from $740 million to $1 billion.

In 2023, Combs’ brands are poised to achieve significant milestones, with no limit in sight. The year will mark the 30th anniversary of Bad Boy Entertainment, the 15th anniversary of Combs’ partnership with Diageo, and the 10th anniversary of REVOLT.
