Odili is also the chairman and executive director of Aeromaritime Group.
Dozie still owns a 1.6-percent stake in the telecom service provider.
Toriola has been at the helm of MTN Nigeria since 2020.
The approval comes five months after MTN Nigeria received preliminary approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria.
MTN Nigeria is one of Africa’s largest telecom services providers, connecting 68 million people across Nigeria.
Both MTN Nigeria and Airtel Africa have received approval-in-principle for a service bank license.
The company is Nigeria’s largest telecom operator.
MTN Nigeria is a subsidiary of the South African multinational telecom giant MTN Group.
Odili holds a 3.96-percent stake in the company.
