JGC is one of Ghana’s most diversified holding companies.
The tycoon made the grant to a team of 26 academics from 13 universities and research institutions in Ghana.
The entrepreneur hopes to build a series of waste-to-energy plans across the country.
They plan to construct the first plant in a new industrial enclave in the Greater Accra Region.
The fund will provide grants to public universities for environmental sanitation research in Ghana.
