Rebrab, former CEO of Cevital Group, was placed on May 18 under judicial control by the public prosecutor at the Sidi M’Hamed court.
Rebrab was reportedly arrested on May 17 by agents of the Algerian Central Office for the Fight against Organized Crime.

The Algerian billionaire stepped down as CEO of Cevital in 2022.
The launch of the plant comes five months after Rebrab stepped down as CEO of the group.
