Centurion International AG, a leading pan-African corporate law firm led by Cameroonian energy lawyer NJ Ayuk, has successfully listed its shares on the open market of the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange in Germany, marking a historic moment for the firm.

As a result of the listing, the law firm is the first African-focused services firm to have its shares listed on a German Stock Exchange.

Ayuk, a Cameroonian lawyer and leading authority in the African energy sector, founded Centurion in 2007. The pan-African energy advisory and legal services group offers investors a way to participate in Africa’s development.

Aside from being a well-known dealmaker in the energy sector and the founder of a leading energy-focused law firm, Ayuk is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in African business today, having spearheaded several initiatives and philanthropic efforts to support African entrepreneurs in recent years.

The law firm revealed that its listing on the exchange, which aligns with its strategic expansion plans, will increase international investment and collaboration within Africa’s diverse economy.

In addition to the benefits of the new business opportunities between Germany and Africa that the listing will bring, Centurion believes its client portfolio will expand significantly, allowing broader access to a large number of ESG-compliant co-investment deals not only in gas, but also in hydrogen, infrastructure and renewables.

“Now, the company can expand its network, constructing an African energy mix and driving the energy transition,” the group stated.

Ayuk said the group is on track to tap German capital markets to finance the acquisition of small- and medium-sized advisory firms, as it moves to build the group’s valuation while maintaining a robust expansion in operations and growth, as well as an increase in earnings for its investors.

“By listing our shares on the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange, we hope to provide a gateway for investors to participate in Africa’s vast economic upside potential,” Nyuk said.

Centurion International AG is a leading facilitator of Africa’s energy expansion, collaborating closely with clients to expedite the successful implementation of energy projects across the continent.

The law firm advises numerous German companies, including Lufthansa and Deutsche Post DHL Group, in addition to working with myriad energy companies around the world.
