Capricorn Group has announced the appointment of Johan Maass as its new group financial director, effective from Nov. 22, 2024. Maass, who joined Capricorn in April 2018, has served as the group's chief financial officer (CFO) since July 2022. His promotion highlights his successful tenure at the company and is a testament to his extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning.

A journey of expertise and growth

Maass, a chartered accountant with a B.Com Hons degree in Chartered Accountancy from North-West University, brings over 14 years of professional experience. During his time at Capricorn, he has progressively taken on more senior roles, including four years as the group financial manager before stepping into the CFO position two years ago. His experience in financial reporting, risk management, and strategic financial planning has made him an invaluable asset to the company.

As the new group financial director, Maass will continue to serve on the Capricorn Group's Executive Committee and its executive management team. His promotion comes at a pivotal time as the company looks to consolidate its position and drive further financial health and strategic growth.
