The firm will carry out refurbishment and construction work for the Al Ghubrah Pumping Station in Muscat, under a contract with NAMA Water Services Company (NAMA).
The scope of the project includes the complete refurbishment of existing facilities, construction of a new pumping station, and installation of transmission pipelines to meet the growing water demands of Muscat’s communities and industries.
This project strengthens Hassan Allam Holding's commitment to delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions across borders.
Utility arm secures key solar deals
Hassan Allam Holding’s recent contract win further strengthens its impressive project backlog, which now exceeds $3 billion, solidifying the company's position as a leading player in the engineering, construction, and utilities sectors.
This follows a significant milestone for the company's utility arm, Hassan Allam Utilities, which recently finalized two major power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for a 1,200-megawatt solar energy initiative.
These key developments highlight the company's commitment to expanding its regional footprint and driving the sustainable growth of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Hassan Allam targets Middle East growth
Under the leadership of Hassan Allam and his brother Amr Allam, the company has built a formidable legacy over more than eight decades, contributing to economic growth across North Africa and the Middle East.
As part of its ongoing strategic expansion, Hassan Allam Holding has broadened its presence in the Middle East, opening new offices in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and increasing its operations in the UAE, Oman, Libya, and Algeria.
This expansion aims to address critical infrastructure needs while fostering economic and sustainable development throughout the region.
Focus on sustainability and regional development
Hassan Allam Holding’s latest ventures highlight the company’s dedication to sustainable infrastructure. In addition to its Oman project, the company is actively involved in large-scale renewable energy projects, including a landmark wind farm in Egypt.
In May 2024, it signed a land access agreement with the Egyptian government for a 10-gigawatt onshore wind farm, valued at over $10 billion. This project, part of a larger consortium with Masdar and Infinity Power, will help Egypt further its clean energy goals.
The company’s diverse portfolio and continued regional expansion reflect its strategic commitment to addressing the Middle East and North Africa’s growing infrastructure needs while contributing to global sustainability efforts.
