The United Bank for Africa (UBA), led by Nigerian entrepreneur Tony Elumelu, is set to host a new edition of its Business Series, focusing on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to build businesses that can survive and thrive across generations.

The upcoming workshop, themed, “Built to Last: Building Generational Business,” will be held on Thursday at the UBA House in Marina, Lagos, and will also be accessible virtually.

This edition aims to highlight businesses that have demonstrated resilience and adaptability over time. UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, Shamsideen Fashola, emphasized the importance of learning from entrepreneurs who have built enduring businesses.

“This edition provides a platform for SMEs to learn from experienced entrepreneurs who have built and sustained businesses through the decades,” Fashola said.

UBA Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Alero Ladipo reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting its diverse customer base.

The event will feature a panel of esteemed speakers, including Flora Mutahi, Atunyota Akpobome (Ali Baba), Tolani Tayo-Osikoya (Chef T), and Kelechi Amadi-Obi, who will share insights on building businesses that last.
