Palantir Technologies, an artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics firm co-founded and led by African-American tech billionaire Alex Karp, has secured a two-year, $19-million contract from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).

The contract, awarded by the newly established U.S. agency focused on accelerating breakthroughs in biomedical research, will see Palantir leverage its expertise in data management and AI to enhance ARPA-H’s mission of improving health outcomes.

Under the agreement, Palantir will deploy its Foundry software and Foundry Platform AI to create a robust data infrastructure for ARPA-H. This infrastructure will enable the agency to efficiently collect, analyze, and interpret data from diverse sources, supporting a data-driven approach to research and program design.
