Egyptian tycoon Hassan Allam’s group wins $346-million contract for Saudi entertainment complex

Hassan Allam Holding, led by prominent businessman Hassan Allam, has secured a significant contract to build a $346-million entertainment complex in Saudi Arabia, in a move that further cements its status as a powerhouse in the engineering and construction industry.

The contract, awarded by Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven), a subsidiary of the kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund PIF (Public Investment Fund), underscores the firm’s prowess in securing high-profile projects. The entertainment complex, dubbed “Al Kharj Entertainment Complex,” is slated to become a leading leisure destination in the region.

The Al Kharj Entertainment Complex will be strategically positioned between the cities of Abha and Khamis Mushait near Abha International Airport, covering an expansive area of 64,000 square meters. Boasting a built-up area exceeding 79,000 square meters, the complex aims to offer a diverse range of entertainment options, catering to the growing demand for leisure amenities in Saudi Arabia.

Hassan Allam Holding, with its vast expertise and experience, will spearhead the construction efforts, supported by renowned project consultants including U.S.-based engineering firm Gensler and Lebanon’s Dar Al Handasah.

Additionally, UK-headquartered Mace Group has been appointed as the project management consultant, further enhancing the project’s prospects for success.

This latest venture comes as part of Hassan Allam Holding’s overarching strategy to expand its influence globally. Earlier this month, the group reinforced its commitment to the Middle East and North Africa with the inauguration of its regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Led by Hassan Allam and his brother Amr Allam, the group’s expansion efforts have propelled it into over ten countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Libya, Jordan, and Algeria.
