Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat names former Warner Bros exec Jay Levine as CEO
Hartbeat Productions, the global multi-platform media company founded by acclaimed African-American comedian and entrepreneur Kevin Hart, has announced the appointment of Jay Levine as its new CEO.
Levine, a former executive at Warner Bros., is set to lead Hartbeat, overseeing the company’s growth strategies across development, production, marketing, distribution, and other intellectual property (IP) and experiential initiatives.
Levine’s appointment follows the departure of former CEO Thai Randolph in November, concluding her nearly decade-long tenure. Levine, having confirmed his role as CEO, is poised to guide Hartbeat Productions during a significant growth phase.
In the past year, the company experienced a surge in activity, releasing 23 projects spanning TV, film, digital, and audio, doubling its workforce, and inaugurating a new headquarters in Los Angeles.
