Boone — who became eBay’s senior vice president and chief people officer in February 2021 — received a compensation package that includes a base salary of $0.67 million and a performance-based short-term incentive of $0.83 million—reflecting his joint role in leading the San Jose-based multinational e-commerce company toward impressive financial milestones in 2022.
The highly accomplished corporate executive also received a long-term incentive award of $2.4 million, reflecting his unwavering dedication and expertise as a seasoned corporate executive—his leadership has not only propelled the company forward, but also redefined the narrative of leadership and employee representation.

Before joining eBay, Boone served as Vice President of Human Resources at American Airlines, Walmart, and Walmart Global eCommerce, showcasing his strategic HR leadership between 2014 and 2016. His expertise in global human resource strategy was honed during leadership roles at American Airlines Group between 2018 and 2022.
At eBay, he leads the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Under Boone’s strategic leadership at eBay, encompassing key areas such as talent and business development, HR shared services, and people tools, the company has recorded impressive financial milestones in recent years.
