George Foreman’s elite cars are heading to auction
Boxing legend George Foreman is auctioning over 50 luxury cars, including Ferraris and Porsches, on Hagerty Marketplace.
George Foreman, renowned as a boxing champion and successful entrepreneur, is stepping into a new ring – the auctioning of his extensive car collection. This December, more than 50 of Foreman’s carefully curated vehicles will be available on Hagerty Marketplace, marking a significant moment in the world of luxury car auctions.
The Billionaire’s Collection
Foreman, celebrated for his achievements in boxing and his entrepreneurial success with the George Foreman Grill, has long been a passionate car collector. His collection spans decades of automotive history, featuring models from the 1930s to contemporary times. Among his treasured possessions are a historic 1931 Ford Model A Cabriolet A400 and a range of luxury brands, including Ferrari, BMW, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley.
Top Contenders in the Auction
According to Robb Report, the highlight of the auction is a 2005 Ford GT, a Mark IV Red beauty with white racing stripes, owned by Foreman since new. With less than 790 miles on the odometer, this car is a pristine example of automotive excellence. Also drawing attention is a rare 2000 BMW Z8 in Topaz Blue Metallic with a Crema and black interior, one of only 37 in existence. Other notable lots include a 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena and a 1987 Ferrari Testarossa.
Ensuring Top Quality
Foreman’s collection, primarily kept in static storage, will undergo thorough mechanical checks to ensure peak condition before auction. Kenneth Ahn, President of Hagerty Marketplace, anticipates strong interest and competitive bidding for these well-maintained and low-mileage vehicles.
The auction, set between Dec. 11 and 21, offers a unique opportunity for car enthusiasts and collectors to own a piece of Foreman’s legendary collection. This event promises to be a highlight of the holiday season, providing an exclusive chance to acquire some of the most sought-after cars in the world.
While Foreman is parting with his collection, his legacy in both sports and business continues to inspire. This auction not only showcases his taste in luxury vehicles but also marks a new chapter in his journey of sharing passions and creating opportunities for others.
