Rihanna plans major comeback with $39.1-million deal with Live Nation

International music icon and cosmetics billionaire Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty is set to make a triumphant return to the entertainment industry, following her recent signing of a staggering £32 million ($39.1 million) deal with American event promoter and venue operator Live Nation, headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.

The music superstar-turned-billionaire is gearing up for a comeback tour scheduled for 2024/2025, with not one, but two albums in the works. This ambitious move comes after Rihanna took a brief hiatus to focus on her expanding business empire and personal life.

In October 2022, Rihanna made her long-awaited musical comeback with the release of her single, “Lift Me Up,” which marked her first release in six years.

The track was featured in Marvel’s blockbuster sequel, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and has garnered an impressive 135 million views on YouTube. Rihanna also performed the song at the 2023 Oscars.

“Lift Me Up,” a song co-written by Rihanna, Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, esteemed film composer Ludwig Göransson, and director Ryan Coogler, has already earned accolades, including the “Best Original Song in a Feature Film” award at the 13th Hollywood Music in Media Awards and “Best Song” at the 2023 African-American Film Critics Association.

Rihanna’s journey as a businesswoman so far

Rihanna’s remarkable journey into the world of business began in 2011 with the launch of her first fragrance, Reb’l Fleur, which raked in an impressive $80 million in its inaugural year. This marked the start of a series of successful business ventures.

However, it was in 2017 that Rihanna’s entrepreneurial prowess truly shone with the introduction of Fenty Beauty, a cosmetics powerhouse born from her collaboration with the prestigious French luxury conglomerate, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. By 2020, Fenty Beauty had skyrocketed to extraordinary heights, amassing more than $550 million in revenue.

Fenty Beauty’s presence graces the shelves of Sephora stores in multiple countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, and the Middle East. Additionally, the brand extends its allure to over 150 countries through online channels.

Rihanna’s $1.4 billion fortune makes her one of the world’s richest individuals

Thanks to her billion-dollar beauty empire, Rihanna made headlines in 2022 as America’s youngest self-made billionaire. While her net worth has dipped from $1.7 billion to $1.4 billion today, she remains a prominent figure among the global billionaire elite, ranking 2,085th on Forbes’ list.

In addition to her highly successful beauty brand, Rihanna continues to secure multimillion-dollar deals in the fashion world.

Notably, her groundbreaking partnership with the renowned German sportswear giant, Puma, known as Fenty x Puma, has been revitalized. This collaboration began in 2014 and resurfaced after an unannounced hiatus from 2017 to 2023.
