American professional golfer Tiger Woods, celebrated as one of the greatest golfers of all time, and music superstar Justin Timberlake, have announced their collaboration on a second T-Squared Social, a premium sports and entertainment gastro pub, with plans to open in 2024 pending town planning approval.
This venture is made possible through a partnership with the real-estate company Nexus Luxury Collection. The new T-Squared Social is set to be situated in the historic New Picture House Cinema on North Street in St. Andrews, Scotland.
The New Picture House, built more than 90 years ago by local businessmen, will undergo extensive renovations to accommodate the entertainment offerings of T-Squared Social. The venue will maintain one of its movie screen theaters, catering to cinema enthusiasts with a selection of theatrical films, live-to-cinema events, and marquee TV programming.
T-Squared Social aims to redefine the dining experience by merging elevated cuisine and craft cocktails with cutting-edge Full Swing simulators for golf and other interactive games, duckpin bowling, darts, and premium sports viewing on large format televisions.
Both Woods and Timberlake are no strangers to St. Andrews. Woods, reflecting on his connection to the area, stated, “I have been fortunate enough to enjoy many special moments here at St. Andrews. We all wanted to bring our T-Squared Social concept to St. Andrews to add to the local community and be a welcoming place for those living in St. Andrews and for visitors alike.”
Timberlake, who has visited St. Andrews multiple times for golf and even competed in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, expressed his honor in investing in the town and opening the second T-Squared Social. He described the new venue as more than a typical sports bar experience, emphasizing it as a place to be entertained without sacrificing quality or comfort.
Woods’ recent financial success is noteworthy, with his net worth growing by $100 million in recent times. This has cemented his position as one of the world’s Black Billionaires, with his wealth now surpassing the remarkable $1.1-billion threshold.
TGR Ventures serves as a testament to Woods’ commitment to leaving a legacy that transcends his achievements in golf. In his words: “TGR is my chapter two—my way of building a legacy that’s about more than birdies and bogies.”
His investments, through TGR, have spanned various sectors, including golf technology, hospitality software, and upscale mini-golf experiences across the United States.
