Tanzanian multimillionaire Ghalib Said Mohamed is one of the wealthiest businessmen in the East African region. He began his business career by working for his father’s cashew farming and general trading business. Later, he established the GSM Group, a diverse Tanzanian conglomerate engaged in various industries, including general trading, transportation, logistics, media, manufacturing, real estate, retailing, and financial services.

- Galco Transport & Logistics: Galco Transport & Logistics is the flagship company of Ghalib Said Mohamed’s empire is an integrated logistics provider specializing in cross-border transportation, freight forwarding, and clearing services. The company operates a fleet of more than 700 trucks and 100 light trucks. Galco Ltd. also owns approximately 20 warehouses (both bonded and free) and runs an Inland Container Depot for handling imports from the port of Dar es Salaam.

- GSM Mall: Located near the U.S. Embassy in the upscale Msasani neighborhood of Dar es Salaam, GSM Mall is a shopping mall housing concept stores such as Max, Splash, Baby Shop, Shoe Express, and Homebox.
- GSM Spares: GSM Spares specializes in selling spare parts for Chinese trucks in the Southern and East Africa regions.
- GSM Foam: GSM Foam is a leading foam manufacturer that produces and distributes high-quality mattresses, pillows, foams, beds, bedding, duvets, and bedsheets.
- GSM Steel: GSM Steel manufactures nails, colored roofing sheets, wire mesh, and GCI sheets.
- GSM Petroleum: GSM Petroleum imports and trades refined petroleum products in Tanzania.
