He owns 49.59 percent of Attijariwafa, a Moroccan multinational commercial bank and financial services company. The value of his shares in Attijariwafa exceeds $4.5 billion. His other assets in public-quoted companies include an 81.4-percent stake in mining company Managem, which is currently worth more than $1.6 billion, and an indirect 39.6-percent shareholding in Wafa Assurance, which is worth over $442.4 million.

Said ALJ owns a 79.79-percent stake in Unimer Group, listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. His shares in the company are worth $145 million.
