Egyptian tycoon Hassan Allam’s construction group partners with U.S.-based tech firm to provide cybersecurity solutions
Hassan Allam Holding, a privately held engineering, building and infrastructure firm established by Egyptian billionaire Hassan Allam, has partnered with CrowdStrike, a U.S. global cybersecurity company, to provide security software to enable the company’s digital transition.
The partnership agreement, which was inked in collaboration with GTS Egypt, a company that specializes in security and contemporary communications systems, will give Hassan Allam Holding an advanced platform that can forecast and guard against cyber attacks.
As the holding’s business volume raises the likelihood of security threats, the information system managed by CrowdStrike and GTS Egypt will help the company meet its business objectives more effectively and efficiently.
CrowdStrike has provided the premier engineering organization with a $1-million insurance coverage package, which represents an exclusive service in the case of a breach.
Hassan Allam Holding Group IT Director Aly Kouriem said the firm is pleased with its collaboration with CrowdStrike, a pioneer in the field of cybersecurity solutions, and GTS Egypt, which specializes in communications and information technology.
“We are satisfied with our cooperation with Hassan Allam Group and our support in addressing numerous security difficulties to maintain the smooth functioning of the business,” Ibrahim Badawy, Crowd Strike’s regional sales manager, said.
Nearly three months after securing its first-ever project in Jordan for the construction of a 250-kilometer sewage line and 4,825 collection basins, Intech, an operating subsidiary of Hassan Allam Holding, was awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to build a wastewater treatment plant in Mallawi, a city in Egypt’s governorate of Minya.
Hassan Allam Holding is Egypt’s largest privately held engineering, construction and infrastructure firm. It has been active in Egypt’s infrastructure and construction sectors since its foundation in 1936.
Its activities have extended into myriad industries under the direction of Allam, with a focus on large-scale engineering and construction projects, building materials and electrical and mechanical turn-key solutions.
