Wife of banking tycoon Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede takes seat as executive vice chair of his philanthropic organization

Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, the wife of Nigerian banking tycoon and philanthropist Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, has assumed office as the executive vice chair of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation.

The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation is a philanthropic organization committed to improving the lives of Africans through transformed public service delivery and access to quality primary healthcare.

Ofovwe is a co-founder of the foundation. She will oversee its activities with a focus on driving public sector transformation in Nigeria.

She previously served with the Ovie Brume Foundation as the board’s vice chair, the Guardian reported. Ofovwe is also an advisory board member of the Oxford University Africa Society.

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede is a Nigerian banker, investor and philanthropist, who was the former group managing director and CEO of Access Bank Plc. He led the bank’s acquisition in 2002.

He is also the founder and chairman of Coronation Capital Limited and its affiliates, Coronation Asset Management Limited and Trium Limited.

In addition, Imoukhuede is the co-founder of the African Business Coalition for Health alongside Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man.

He is currently the co-chairman of the United Kingdom-Nigeria Capital Market Task Force and a board member of TCX Investment Management Company Netherlands.
